The Department of Defense has identified 3,726 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

COLLINS, James S. Jr., 35, Sgt., Army; Rochester Hills, Mich.; 303rd Military Police Company (Combat Support).

FOSTER, Erick M., 29, Capt., Army; Wexford, Pa.; 82nd Airborne Division
